Here’s one more reason to love the Ogden Valley – the annual Balloon and Artist Festival. This year, launches were at Snowcrest Jr. High School. There was an evening launch at Nordic Valley (formally Wolf Mountain) along with the night Balloon Glow, concerts (all day and night), food, artists, vendors, kids play area, and so much more.
We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to put the camera in the air to get these amazing photos (below) and video so we are posting here to share with you.

So, Ann contacted us and asked if she could list it and I, I’m leery about Real Estate Agents and so I said, well, I have a piece of property to sell. If you sell the property, then I’ll consider you to sell the house, cause I want a Real Estate Agent that’s serious about what he or she is selling. And Ann did. She took over and got all kinds of contacts, people giving us offers. And she sold it in a very short time, and I was impressed. We’re so happy that we chose her and her husband because all the way through the process she kept us informed constantly, on a weekly basis. It was just constant, bringing people through the home. And the other Real Estate Agents would, in the past, it was kinda like “List it with us, and we’ll hope that if somebody wants exactly that house, they’ll call us and sell it”. But, in this case, Ann sold it for us. I felt good enough about how we were treated that we referred a couple of other friends. She sold their houses too, so we’re very impressed. I don’t think you’ll ever find…
It’s the personal relationship we have.
I don’t think you’ll ever find another Real Estate Agent that would do better for you than Ann and her husband.
It was a very personal relationship. And I never felt pressured. An offer came through; I just so appreciated that she would give us all information that we needed to make an educated decision. And she was willing to talk it through. Sometimes it was a half a dozen times she would have to repeat the same thing over again because we had never been this route and it was new to us. And I think more than anything, I just enjoyed the association, the relationship.
She met with us numerous times, and every time she’d call up and say, “Ok, I’ll be there at 10:00,” “ I’ll be there at 11:30.” You could look at the clock and within 1 minute, one side or other the time she said she’d be there she would ring the doorbell! I’ve never seen anybody so punctual!

My name is Steven Clarke and Linda, my wife, and I decided to sell we concluded that we would move to Florida. We have had a dear friend who was a realtor he did many good things we appreciated his service a great deal but the house didn’t sell. So that listing expired and when we were looking for the next step forward we interviewed a half a dozen of the best realtor outfits that we knew and the best realtors we had heard of. And we selected the Zieve’s because we felt that the marketing that they do in terms of positioning the house and promoting that position with the video walkthroughs, the feedback to us was important because we hadn’t had as good of feedback form the last experience. They knew the internet and it was clear to us that they were focused on internet marketing. And we had become convinced that internet marketing was the way that most people see their home, their new home for the first time. They really prepared good material including the Ariel photography, including the narrated walkthrough, including the description of the property. We had 800 square feet of the house tied up in an art studio and that was the portion that stumped most people they weren’t creative enough to see how they could use that. But, Zieve’s marketed it as a house with a studio right up front and so when the folks started showing up to come through the house they were qualified. The 3 weeks it took to get a contract on the house was all productive. It was excellent work on their part, we are very happy, a successful marketing plan in every regard. But we wish we had found Zieve’s first instead of second. It would have saved us 6 months. We are very appreciative of the professional way they performed their job. We are very appreciative of the feedback that we received each week we received feedback, that was in detail but not personal. They employed all the right tools it seemed to us, advanced tools, better than any that we had seen earlier in our experiences in buying and selling houses.

My name is Chris Iverson and we are moving from the beautiful Ogden Valley. I work for the government and I got a reassignment and promotion.
Yep, and I am Barb Iverson. We hired Ann and Joel Zieve to be our realtor because I saw their houses being sold within 3 months and I thought, wow that’s great, because I’ve seen a lot of houses stay on the market here in the valley. It is always better to get your real estate transaction completed in a timely fashion.
The best part about the marketing plan: the first image we saw was the aerial footage. The realization that how important the aerial view of the residence is for a successful sale and when we first saw the video that was pretty phenomenal.
Yeah, I agree I think the drone footage I think was wonderful as well as Ann’s video. I thought that was great and the way everything was put together, and presented, and the professional photos. I thought all of that added up to being an excellent marketing tool.
We really appreciated Ann’s time where she came in and she went from room to room and helped us – what we needed to do to present it for showing. She really helped us present the house in a very marketable fashion. We were a little hesitant being mid-winter, boy were we surprised! We put it on the market on Thursday and by Sunday night, 3 days after, we had 5 offers.
I think we had 6 total.
So we were ready to work one on one with the highest offer and not counter with a single offer, but with the highest, we asked them what is their best and highest offer.
It was an amazing experience; I had never done anything like that before.
And the folks that wanted the property the worst, they countered with $11,000 over our asking price and we were shocked again!

My name is Christina and I’ve lived in my home, built it many years and decided to sell it to start a new little dream. For my retirement I’m going to build a little cottage and be close to my kids and grandkids. I just can’t even tell you about how blown away I am. It just worked! It worked like you said it was going to work. And my expectations where I wanted to sell my house.
The first realtor I had, I liked her but the process didn’t work real well. It was slow and I wanted someone a little more serious. I wanted a more wider base of you know, people that were going to look at the house, so you did that. I was really impressed; it worked so well for me. Oh my gosh! I got somebody from out-of-state that just loves the place and is going to just, they are really, looking forward to retiring too and have a place for their animals. She likes rustic! It’s a rustic country home so it did; it needed the right person and you found her!
Yeah, the first realtor I had, we had basically the same price. She just didn’t show it as often. I didn’t get the showings, the activities. I’m not, I’m not quite sure what she used. But it was not sufficient to get my house out to the amount of people that needed to see it. I know when you brought the helicopter up or the drone that was really interesting. The pictures were really nice and really showed it off very well. Since my buyer is from out-of-state she did look at those pictures. Yea, I got a full offer and you know then in fact they even upped it just a little bit over what I had listed.
You know the one day I had like four showings, that day they wanted to put their offer right in so that’s, it was really exciting. I felt really comfortable. You guys kept me informed, lead me through the process. Yeah, I have, you know, really talked you guys up and really professional and got it out there. I liked that it was an out-of-state buyer since I’m going to be a neighbor of my old property. It’s really exciting to see someone that loves it; she loves it; absolutely loves it, like I’ve loved it. It worked the way it was supposed to work. I really am impressed. You just see I’m just so happy! It’s just been so painless, so thank you so much, I want to thank you for your professionalism and getting me to my dream!

Kate and I have been going up to the Ogden Valley skiing for a number of years. Have always loved it! The scenery is fantastic, the skiing is fantastic, summers are beautiful. And we had just got to a point in our lives where we felt the timing was right to leave California and move to a place where it was not nearly as crowded and we had a lot more opportunity for outdoor activities. We figured that buying a lot up in the Ogden Valley was the thing to do and the time was right.
Originally, Kate and I had been looking for a 2nd home. I had done a search online and come across Ann’s name and, just out of the blue, gave her a call and spoke with her and I was very impressed with her knowledge of the area. Upon meeting her we just discovered that she was the type of person that we wanted handling the search for us. She seemed very knowledgeable, very interested, and very personable.
Being a General Contractor down in Southern California I had dealt with several Real Estate agents. Never really had a positive experience; was mainly unhappy with the service that we got. A lack of attention. When I met Ann, she was like 180 degrees different. She just always seemed like she was very interested in our project, you know, 100 percent of her attention. Was never late getting us information. We were just absolutely, really impressed with her.
I would recommend Ann to any of my close friends, my family, or any of the fussiest sellers or buyers I know. She just seems like she is on top of it all the time, always. I had never, ever called Ann and got a voicemail. I always got Ann.
Everything I’ve said is true! It’s coming from the heart. I mean you guys are just fantastic!

And I’m Jean.
Our house is located in Liberty, Utah.Beautiful place up in the mountains. We’ve lived there a long time in our home but to sell our home, we want to be closer to our grandchildren, we have a whole bunch of grandkids. We’ve been around the block once or twice so I really think it’s time to make that move. So we have.
Joel and Ann were engaged in getting it taken care of. They communicated with us. Seems like some of the other Realtors listed it and we did not hear from them much.
They called us repeatedly to make sure things were done right and correct.
The buyer cancelled the contract and Ann suggested: “Well let’s just let them know what you’ve done to the house and then see if they are still interested”. That actually brought them back to the selling table which was nice.
It was a good idea to look at what (else) was on the market, helping us put it at a reasonable price.
I think you have the advantage of being a husband-wife team. You’ve got two personalities that worked with us. You have choices that other agents don’t.
(A neighbor) was a positive influence on us calling you in the first place. And if you’ve sold something for Steve, especially Steve! We won’t use the last name, but that’s a feather in your cap. That was a good sign.
We would recommend anybody to talk to you cause we felt like you did a good job.
Tennis Courts in Ogden Valley Utah (Eden, Huntsville, Liberty) near Snowcrest Junior High School
These beautiful, state of the art, brand new public courts were completed with a generous RAMP grant and the support of hundreds in Ogden Valley. They sit on the north side of Snowcrest Junior High School in Eden Utah. Can you imagine playing either in a tournament or just a pickup game in this gorgeous Ogden Valley setting? The OVTA asked me to get this picture for them to commemorate their recent affiliation with the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
This shot was taken in mid-November, prior to the first big snow storm which covers the mountains and gets our valley ready for a great winter of skiing and riding (Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, Wolf Mountain) on the Best Snow on Earth.
